To those who have differing levels of knowledge on astrology or none at all, I am going to try to use this page to explain some concepts that may not be understood. I'll try to add them as they occur to me when writing the monthly reports. There is usually so much to cover in the reports and no time or space to address what I see as possible gaps or possible confusion. So if you have a question you'd like answered feel free to write and I'll try to respond here. Others may have the same question.

General Monthly Forecast

To start when I write the monthly forecast. All I am looking at is major aspects in the current sky. So when I write about the day it's kind of like talking about the weather for the whole Northeast! So it could be pouring in Albany NY, but just cloudy in Bangor Maine. The aspect will give you the general energy in the air. Now how it reacts with your personal chart could be totally different! But as a cloudy day or chance of rain set a general mood for the day, so does the general astrology forecast. It could be a nice gentle aspect but if it comes in contact with an already stressful natal aspect in your personal chart, you can have a more magnified or different reaction. Just as if it starts pouring when you personally step out the door or slam on your brakes in traffic, your not having just a rainy or overcast day!

Moon Aspects

 I am only writing about the Major aspects happening during our waking hours. If you take a look at any Astrological calendar or an ephemeris on any given day, there a many aspects. Most of them involving the Moon. The Moon moves very quickly makes many, many aspects in a day and changes signs between every 1-2 days! The Moon rules the tides and emotions. I could not possible write about all the aspects the Moon makes. So when you do not see a certain day listed it does not mean nothing much is happening, as the Moon is always moving and making aspects. That is a whole nother discussion.

Major Aspects

When I list only the Major Aspects in the monthly forecast. What I am telling you about is the moment there is exact aspect. To be an exact aspect is the moment both planets are at the exact same degree. In truth especially with the outer planets, there is a gradual buildup what refer to as "Approaching" and gradual lessening what we call "Separating". The Approach is Much more powerful that the exact aspect. The reason the exact aspects are usually noted is because they can trigger events or other aspects in personal and worldly charts. So when you read about some of the aspects you may actually have been feeling it anywhere from a month (or few months) to a day ahead of the exact aspect depending on your own chart. Also depending on the planets involved the inner planets Mercury, Venus and Mars move quickly and would only be a few days to a week in advance. The outers Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus and Pluto can be from a month to quite a few months in advance or Approach. The same applies to Separating, although it is during the separation of an aspect we may clearly see the results (hindsight).
